DRYING THE EARTH is used for the treatment of chronic diarrhea and also for accelerated intestinal transit with unformed bowel movements (colonic wetness). This preparation tonifies and raises the Qi of the spleen, transforms wetness, stimulates food absorption, especially carbohydrate digestion and diuresis.
